Sun StarOffice version 5.1 has been installed for the Glue Solaris platforms. tap staroffice for more information.
GNU binutils 2.9.1 has been installed on the Solaris 2.6 platform.

gcc version 2.95.1 has been installed on all Glue Solaris 2.6 and Digital Unix platforms. This package includes g++ and g77 as well as the Gnu Java and Chill compilers. Type info gcc, info g++ or info g77 for more information.

Adobe Acrobat for Digital Unix, Solaris, IRIX, HPUX, AIX, and Linux has been upgraded to version 4.0.

lynx has been upgraded to version 2.8.2rel.1. For help using lynx, see: The Lynx Help Page.

perl has been upgraded to version 5.005_03 on all Digital Unix platforms. The Solaris version will be upgraded shortly.
FreeType 1.2 has been installed for Solaris and Digital Unix. See /usr/local/freetype/docs for documentation.
GDB has been upgraded from 4.16 to 4.18 for Solaris and Digital Unix.
latex2html has been upgraded from 97.1 to 98.1. latex2html is available only after tapping tetex.

GTK and GLIB version 1.2.3 has been installed in /usr/local/gtk for Solaris. GTK/GLIB Updates for Digital Unix and GIMP upgrades are on the way.
gnuplot has been upgraded to version 3.7 for Solaris and Digital Unix. The old version is available as gnuplot.old.

Sun's PC File Viewer has been installed. This software only works on Suns running Solaris 2.6 and greater. To start the application, type pcfv.
