guestbook=I have a 1996 Plymouth Grand Voyager, which I bought in July of 1995.
I've only gotten online recently, and, coincidentally, my van's remanifested
a problem that I thought had been solved back in 95 a month after I first
bought it. Namely, fuel leakage. This has been posted on your page before but
probably needs a little update. The fuel leak problem is a sneaky one-it
only happens when the fuel tank is about 3/4 full, the van is parked nose
down, and its a really hot day over 85. The first time this happenned to
me was shortly after I bought the van, and noticed a pool of gas in the
driveway under the front of the van. It took almost a month at the dealer
before they solved the problem, with a new fuel tank and a complicated
explanation of the cause of the problem. Everything was hunky-dory until
yesterday, when we had another scorcher, which happens to occur rarely in
my neighborhood--Berkeley CA. Guess what? More gas leaking. This time, though
I've got photos. I mention this to alert my fellow van owners to the
possibility that the fuel leakage problem may not be solved by changing the
tank, and some danger may still exist. By the way, the early wearing out
brakes (12000 miles), non-unlocking electronic locks, clunking sound in the
rear end with acceleration randomly starting windshield wipers, inaccurate
fuel gauge! I've got 'em all, with the receipts to prove them. Is anyone
at NHTSA listening?
