Founded in 1871, The Baltimore Chapter of the American Institute of Architects, is the third oldest chapter of the AIA in the country. Its members seek to "promote the artistic, scientific and best ethical standards of the profession."

The Society of Architectural Historians "encourages scholarly research in the field and promotes the preservation of significant architectural monuments that are an integral part of our worldwide historical and architectural heritage."

The Victorian Society in America "is the only national organization dedicated to the protection, understanding, education and enjoyment of your nineteenth century heritage."
