The CARing Project: How to Help

Individually
Volunteer to be a one-on-one buddy with a CARing Kid for a semester on Friday afternoons.

Volunteer as a Group
Check out the CARing Calendar to see what dates we need extra volunteers to help with a party. At parties we need volunteers to help prepare and serve food or run special stations or activities connected to the special event. We also need groups to volunteer to plan special local field trips for the Explorers. We also need groups to help us locate the items on our wish list.

Be a Van Driver or Mentor
Volunteer to drive a 15 passenger university van to transport the children from Langley Park McCormick Elementary School to Hope Lutheran Church for the program, and then transport the children to their homes in the Langley Park Community. Drivers must be affiliated with the university either as a student, staff, or faculty member. We are also in need of van mentors to ride along on the vans, provide directions and assistance to the driver as needed.

A Huge Help is to Make a Donation!
Monetary donations or items from our wish list can be gathered from an organized collection or as an individual donation.
