Joyful Noise
Joyful Noise is the music group of the Lutheran Student Association. We play and sing contemporary worship songs, with Sunday performances at area churches. Joyful Noise has been established in order to be a musical outlet for the performers as well as to act as an outreach from the Lutheran Student Association to Lutheran churches in the area. The group has a lot of fun in the process and generally brings an up-beat sound to a worship service (or afternoon performance).
The group currently consists of several vocalists, a pianist, guitarist, and drummer. We are currently looking for new members who sing or play any instrument. Joyful noise is open to all - there are no restrictions to age, race, creed, etc. (please remember, however, that we plan to perform at Lutheran Churches, so the ability to sit through a Lutheran worship service (sermon included) is required). This is a great group with a lot of energy - new members will find a great experience, fun, and possible exposure.
Rehearsals are Sunday evenings from 7 - 8:30pm.
Please contact Paul Larsen (pblarsen@umd.edu) with any questions.
If you are a Lutheran Church or any other type of group that would want anything remotely like that described above, please contact Paul Larsen (pblarsen@umd.edu) to organize such an event.
