About me:
I was born in a small city, Tokat, located in the northern part of Turkey in February 1979.
I grew up in Tokat, and attended N. K. and M. A. G. Elementary Schools,
and moved to Maltepe, Istanbul in August 1989 with my family where I
graduated from Kadikoy Anatolian High School
with honors in June 1997. Upon graduation from high school,
I moved to Ankara, the capital city of Turkey, and entered Bilkent
University in September 1997, where I received the Bachelor
of Science degree in Physics with high honors in May 2002.
The following August, I moved to Atlanta, Georgia and entered
Georgia Institute of Technology, where I received a
Master of Science degree in theoretical Physics in August 2004,
and a Doctor of Philosophy degree in theoretical Physics in August 2007.
Currently, I live in Gaithersburg, Maryland, and work as a research associate
(post-doc) in Joint Quantum Institute (JQI) which is a joint institution
between the Department of Physics of University of Maryland (UMD) and
the Atomic Physics Division of National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST).
