Madame Chiang
Its hard to describe how much of the last century's history, flowed through or close to this woman. I've never read a biography about her alone. Although she would turn up in nearly everything i would read about post war American foreign policy. I think I first heard of her when I read a book as a kid on the of Chenault's Flying Tiger squadron. Many many years ago. ._._. pb _._
Madame Chiang, 105, Chinese Leader's Widow, Dies. Madame Chiang Kai-shek was a pivotal player in the struggle for control of post-imperial China waged between the Nationalists and the Communists. By Seth Faison. [New York Times: NYT HomePage]
