Aizawa Chitose

"What's hot now?" is probably Chitose favorite topic.  She is also Tokimeki Memorial first Kansai-accent girl, and her English is fairly good.

Chitose's vital stats (year 3):

Height: 162 cm (5 feet 4 inches)

B-W-H: 82 cm - 58 cm - 85 cm (32.3 in - 23 in - 33.5 in)

Stats Hint:

Grades-wise,  I think doing as well as Chitose is probably sufficient.  Of course, it is always better to be near the top (as this will improve your relationship with her).  Joining the Broadcasting Club is not necessary, but it is highly recommended.  Chitose is not a hard character to finish in terms of stats-wise; dates are more important than grades in order to finish her.

Dating:

Chitose likes fast paced stuff.  She is a huge fan of roller-coasters.  Shopping street and department stores are also highly recommended destination.  While swimming and skiing are good places to go with her, she does not really enjoy going to stadiums.

Pop culture related things are her favorite discussion topics.  Japanese idols, rock and roll are good topics.  English are her favorite discussion topics too.  Similar to other girls (except Rika and Hotaru), science is a no-no.  (As a scientist myself, that is kind of depressing :-( heh heh )

Events:

Christmas with Chitose - 2004/12/24 - When did the Christmas Tree outside Rockefeller Center moved to Moeki?

Tachibana Emi

She is the first martial arts girl in the Tokimeki Memorial series (unless you count Akane in TM2 as one).  She also likes traditional Japanese arts and culture.

Emi's vital stats (year 3):

Height: 164 cm (5 Feet 5 inches)

B-W-H: 90 cm - 59 cm - 89 cm (35.4 in - 23.2 in - 35.0 in)

Stats hint:

Emi likes sports, and a high level in sport (at least 30) is required to finish her.  The Aikido Club is an effective way to raise your sport levels, and Emi belongs to that club.  Therefore, I recommend players to join the Aikido Club if you want to finish her.  Academic-wise, just make sure you do not do worse than Emi during exams; anyway, it is actually fairly hard to do worse in class than her (unless you do only sleep and exercise but nothing else).

Dating:

She likes sports, flowers and traditional Japanese arts and culture.  Good date spots include Shinto shrine (New Year Day, flea market during April and October, and the Summer festival during July), swimming (beach or indoor pool), skiing, stadium (baseball, football/soccer, and martial arts tournament), parks, botanical garden, and fireworks night (late August) are preferred date spots.  Her favorite discussion topics are sports, literature, and gardening.

Events:

Emi and lower classmen (part 1) - 2003/5 to 2004/7 - Emi's martial arts skill made her popular among lower classmen within the Aikido Club.  (Events occur only if you belongs to the Aikido Club)

Emi and lower classmen (part 2) - 2003/5 to 2004/7 - Continuation of Part 1.  When you were about to go home with Emi, lower classmen asked Emi to also go home with her.

Injury - 2003/8 to 2004/5 - Emi was injured after felling from the stairs.  She was hospitalized for the injury. This is a required event if you want to finish with her.

Hospital Visit - 2003/9 to 2004/6 - There are two versions of this event (depending whether you belong to the Aikido Club).  You visited Emi at the hospital (if you belong to the Aikido Club, you will go together with other classmates).  This is a required event if you want to finish with her.

Release from Hospital - 2003/9 to 2004/6 - Emi told you that she is back in school, but it would take a while before she can practice Aikido again.  This is a required event if you want to finish with her.

Rehabilitation and Return to Aikido - 2003/10 to 2005/3 - Emi finished her rehabilitation after the injury, and was ready to go back to the mat.  This is a required event if you want to finish with her.

Emi Alone - 2003/9 to 2004/12 -  Emi's absence from the Aikido Club (due to injury) led to a significant loss of members to the club.  She was crying at the dojo alone.  This is a required event if you want to finish with her.

Sleeping on One's Lap - 2004/6 to 2004/8 -  After saving a cat from the tree, the cat slept on Emi's lap.  This event occurs when you date Emi at the Hill Park (丘の上公園) on a sunny day.

Christmas with Emi - 2004/12/24 - If you see this event, you can finish with Emi...

Shinjo Serika

The mystery girl of TM3.  She does not belong to any club, but she frequents the school during nights and weekends.  The mystery will now be revealed...

Serika's vital stats (3rd year):

Height: 165 cm (5 feet 5 inches)

B-W-H: 87 cm - 61 cm - 86 cm (34.3 in - 24.0 in - 33.9 in)

Stats Hint:

Serika is not demanding in academic stats.  She sleeps through all the classes anyway...  Just make sure you do better than her during exams (which is a very easy task).  30+ lvl in sports is recommended.

According to various Japanese BBS, the tricky part of finishing with Serika is that you must have a very high stamina (体力) (150+ ?) at the end of the game.  I have not finished her yet.  Further info will be posted here after I finish her.

Dating Hints:

Serika likes mountains and the ocean.  She is also interested in fighting; movies like Metal Gear Solid ;-), and Ore ha Banchou (俺は番長, I am Big Brother) (TM2 parody - Akane's brother is BACK!), and martial arts tournaments are good date spots.  Metal Gear Solid is on the screen between 2003/6 - 2003/11, and Ore ha Banchou is on between 2004/6 - 2004/8.

Serika is interested in crafts and sports.  Therefore, hand craft and sports topics are good discussion topics.

Events:

Umbrella (part 1):  Random event during months when school is open (?).  I wish a girl can lend me an umbrella if I forgot to take mine --: .

Umbrella (part 2):  Random event after event Umbrella (part 1).  You returned Serika's umbrella to her.

Injury (part 1): Random event during months when school is open (?).  Is Serika clumsy? Or it is something else...?

Injury (part 2): Random event after event Injury (part 1).  Ouch, period.

Serika's "job" (part 1): 2004/4 - 2004/7.  You met Serika after class when she is rushing to do her "job".  Afterwards, Yabe told you that the school's warehouse is in complete chaos... A coincidence?

Serika's "job" (part 2): 2004/9 - 2004/11.  You date Serika, but she could not come because she has "job" to do again.  Afterwards, the headmaster/principle (whatever you decide to call it) office is in a mess...

Serika at school during weekends: Random event when you are taking a walk in the Hills District.  Serika does not belong to any club, and why is she going to school during weekends?

Final Battle:  After 2004/9 (?).  Serika's secret is finally revealed... Devil Hunter Yohko and Red Company's Shinguji Sakura had arrived in Konami Tokyo's production studio (anime joke). This is a required event if you want to finish with her.

Izumi Hotaru

If TM1 has Fujisaki Shiori, and TM2 has Asou Kasumi, then TM3 has Izumi Hotaru... You know what I mean TM fans - Hotaru is the "ultimate" challenge in TM3.

Hotaru's vital stats (3rd year):

Height: 162 cm (5 feet 4 inches)

B-W-H: 85 cm - 59 cm - 87 cm (33.5 in - 23.2 in - 34.3 in)

Email Hints:

Hotaru is the only character that you got to chat with through e-mail.  You need to find her website on piano music first (otherwise you will not even meet her).  Check her site regularly (start of each season), and there are specific events relates to her website (her site got "hacked").  The way to answer her email can found in the following site: http://www7.plala.or.jp/isaragi/tokioka/ (under Secret Character - 隠れキャラ section)

Stats Hint:

Level 35 or above on every academic stat and level 30 or above on sports stat is required.  Make sure you are top 10 in your class of each exams then you are safe.  Hotaru is the most demanding girl in TM3 in terms of stats and dating.  Hotaru really values guys that do good on everything...

Tennis Club and Student Union is the preferred club to join, since she belongs to one of those clubs.

Dating:

She is the hardest character to improve relationship with.  She requires a lot more dating than other girls (on top of the sport and academic requirements); two or more dates per month are required at the beginning of the game.

Two rule of thumb about dating Hotaru: No Skiing and No Heights.  This means you can forget about riding roller coaster with her, and she will simply not accept any date to go to ski.  For those who understands Japanese and pay attention to details of her story should know why...  Basically, she lost her boy friend during a traffic accident during a winter storm in the mountain.  The bus that she and her friend rides fell down the slopes of the mountain, she survives (but she is now afraid of mountain with snow and heights).

Classical Music and Fine Arts are her favorite; therefore, museum and concerts (winter only - classical music concerts) are good date spots.  Swimming, the zoo and botanical gardens are also preferred locations to date her.  Her favorite discussion topics include everything academic (literature, fine arts, and science), classical music and sports.  She (and Rika) are probably the only 2 characters than you can discuss science topics with.  The only thing to avoid in literature topics is "Romance Novels (恋愛小説)".  Hotaru do not show much interest in video games nor fishing.

Events:

Website Hacking: 2003/5 to 2003/8 - Hotaru (The One who Observes the Moon 月夜見)'s got hacked, you can write a program for her to protect her site from hacking (if your Science Lvl is high enough.

Hotaru's Past - Inu-neko (Dogs and Cats) Land: Anytime that Inu-neko Land is available (2003/3 to 2003/5, 2003/9 to 2003/11, 2004/3 to 2004/5, 2004/9 to 2004/11) at the zoo.  Hotaru suddenly treated you as her former boy friend, and though she was playing dogs with him...

Hotaru's Past - Cinema: Anytime the movie The Dynasty of the Girl (Shouji Jidai 少女時代) (2003/3 to 2003/5) or Setsunakute (せつなくて…) (2003/12 to 2004/2) is available at the cinema.  The story of the movie makes Hotaru recalling her memory with her old boy friend.

Hotaru's Past - Winter Coast: During winter months (December to February) dates in the coast.  Hotaru wants to share her past with you about her former boy friend.

Hotaru and The One who Observes the Moon (月夜見): Random Event (?), but your relationship with her must be high enough.  Why is Hotaru playing the same piano music as on the web site of The One who Observes the Moon (月夜見)?  The choice you made there does not effect the ending of the game.

On the Roof...: Random Event (?).  Hotaru is recalling her memories of her boy friend on the roof of the school.

Surgery (Part 1):  2003/6 to 2003/8.  The One who Observes the Moon (月夜見) asked you whether should she undergo surgery... This is a required event if you want to finish with her.

Surgery (Part 2): 2005/1 to 2005/2.  Hotaru told you that she need to undergo surgery.  The choice you made there does not effect the ending of the game.  This is a required event if you want to finish with her.

Christmas with Hotaru - 2004/12/24 - If you see this event, you can finish with Hotaru...

Watarai Kazumi

Kazumi is the Part-Time Princess ;-) of TM3.  In my opinion, she is probably the cutest character in the game.  She is not hard to finish given that you can find her.  See here for information about meeting her.

Kazumi's Vital Stats (3rd Year):

Height: 155 cm (5 feet 1 inches)

B-W-H: 77 cm - 52 cm - 77 cm (30.3 in - 20.5 in - 30.3 in)

Stats Hints:

Kazumi is not a very stats demanding character.  Academic-wise, as long as you are doing better than her during exams are OK; anyway, she competes with Yabe as being the character with the best grades (counting backwards) ;-).  Similar to other girls, doing good sports will definitely help your relationship with her.

Kazumi does not belong to any club, therefore, there are not specific recommendations of which club you should join.  However, it is advisable to join a club that no girl belongs to; this is to reduce chance of "Bombs" among other girls.

Dating:

Kazumi will never go to dates outside of the county (県外), regardless how well is your relationship with her.  However, there is a specific event with her that she will go with for a date with you the theme park.  She likes noisy and funny things; recommended date spots include department store デパート, video game arcade, shopping street ショッピング街, marine bridge (secret date spot) マリンブリッジ.

Events:

Let's go to the Theme Park:  Summer of Year 3 (2004/6 - 2004/8) - Kazumi got free admission ticket to the theme park, and she invites you to go with her.  This event can only occur if Kazumi's relationship is high enough, and has to be invited by Kazumi; you cannot call Kazumi and ask her to go to the theme park with you.  This is a required event if you want to finish with her.

Father is sick (part 1):  Random?  Relationship with her must be high enough.  You meet Kazumi in the street doing part time job (as a "walking stuff animal") after school.  Kazumi told you why she need to do part time job to support her family. This is a required event if you want to finish with her.

Father is sick (part 2):  Fall of Year 3 (2004/9 - 2004/11).  Kazumi suddenly "disappears" for a month (no one answered the phone, could not find her in school.  After she was back, she told you that her father was hospitalized.  This is a required event if you want to finish with her.

Father is sick (part 3):  2004/12 around the time of exams.  Kazumi called you that her father was in very desperate condition and was transferred to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), and ask you to come to the hospital.  (There is choice to go or not, but the answer is obvious:  Go to the hospital) This is a required event if you want to finish with her.

Christmas with Kazumi:  2004/12/24.  Do not go to the Christmas party, and Kazumi will ring you up to spend Christmas with her...  If you see this event, you can finish with Kazumi...
