ISAAC, the International Society for Archaeoastronomy and Astronomy in
Culture
ISAAC is a professional organization established in 1996 to promote the
academic development of archaeoastronomy, including ethnoastronomy. The
goal of this society is to enhance the professional status of
archaeoastronomy by forming ties with existing international, regional and
national academic bodies, organizing meetings, and assisting in the
development of interdisciplinary projects in cultural astronomy in its
widest sense.
